Maunsel House

Maunsel House is a magnificent 13th Century Manor set in 100 acres of stunning parkland. The house can boast such visitors as Geoffrey Chaucer, who wrote part of the Canterbury Tales whilst staying here. The beautiful grounds and spacious rooms provide privacy and a unique atmosphere for your wedding.

Maunsel House is licensed for civil ceremonies for 88 people in our glorious ballroom or 150 people in our wisteria garlanded pergola. We also have our own Estate Church which seats 50 people but we are also blessed with many places of worship nearby where you could follow your service by holding the reception at the house.

The number of guests attending your wedding can be tailored to suit. Inside the house can hold up to 150, over two rooms or by using an extension marquee to the french windows in the ballroom. Under our roofed pergola we can seat up to 200 guests and the marquee area can seat up to 250.

Exclusively yours for the duration of your stay, with no restrictions on how you wish to celebrate. Maunsel House also boasts excellent,reasonably priced caterers providing delicious, locally sourced, food to suit your tastes.
